Long Lost Classmates’ Gathering at Dynasty Hotel
We have our secondary school classmates gathering this afternoon at Dynasty Hotel. I remembered the last time we met was at Bukit Jalil Golf Club, seven or eight years ago. This time we have Hi-tea at Dynasty Hotel. It was supposed to start at 12.30 pm but I was late and reached the hotel at 1.30 pm because of having to work until 1.00 pm. When some of the classmates like Foong Ngo, Moong Har, Sam Moi came to shake hand with me, I really could not recognize them at all until they told me their names. Time flies, it has been almost 30 years since the last time some of us met.
Altogether there were 25 of us went for the gathering. Foong Ngo was so excited that she purposely bought a few photo albums to rearrange the old days’ photos to bring to the gathering. The photos brought our memories back to those sweet old days. See Tuck and Posh Keng started to sing the school song "Cheras Road School to thee we give, our love and loyalty. There’ll be a day that we can say Cherasians we will lead..................". Foong Ngo kept asking her children to take more photos for us. Sam Mui was busy sharing and teasing Soon Wah for eating "Nasi Lemak" in class while the teacher was teaching. Yoon Kuan, Fai Lin, Yoon Lian, Hock Eng, Chun Loy, Koon Hoong, Chee Lian, Chooi Tau and .............. were laughing at the other corner. With a small slice of cheese cake, we sang birthday song to Lai Ming, Swee Eng and one more (forgot who). We have such a great time together.
Moong Har was so good, he invited us to Malacca, where he stays now and promised to treat all of us on lunch and dinner. So, we have set a date on 25-11-2007 for a day trip to Malacca. This time we met at Dynasty Hotel, the next round will be at Malacca. Thank you Wai Ping, Chye Yoke, V Jin for organizing such a wonderful gathering and made the event successful.

Yu Li's son full moon
17 July 2007 - 3rd week of July 2007
Thank you for inviting us for the dinner
Today is Yu Li's third son full moon. She invited us to her husband's restaurant - Drunk Cat Restaurant for dinner. Suppose to fetch Lai Ching at 6.30 pm near Fajar Supermarket, but she called at 5.45 pm saying that she could not make it and asked me to fetch her at Jaya Jusco Supermarket in Cheras. "Jaya Jusco Supermarket!", a place that I hate to go after office hour for I had experienced few times of the terrible traffic jammed and stuck there for about an hour. However, I still have to go. This time, I used "Peel Road" instead of “Cheras Road”. Lucky enough, the traffic was quit smooth.
Yu Li, now a mother of four children is still as beautiful and slim as before. Eight of us, the public speaking class classmates sat together in one table, joked and have fun together. Yu Li, thank you for arranging such an occasion that we can have a chance to meet our long lost friends.

Thank you Mei Ming
7 July 2007 – First week of July 2007
Loh Bon Aik’s wedding
Bon Aik’s wedding dinner was in Klang. It is a far away place to me. Mei Ming offered to give me a lift together with her sister, Mei Ling. We started the journey at 6.30 pm, but the traffic was so jammed that we reached there at 8.10 pm, just a few minutes before the dinner started.
It was such a wonderful night to meet up with so many old friends where we could laugh and chat together. Mei Ming, thank you for your kindness volunteered to drive us there.

Yummy! Yummy! Short Bread
During the two and a half months holidays for local universities, my niece Li Wan always wanted to cook or tried out new recipes. She did not like all these things before she went university. She has butter fingers, we seldom asked her to help in the kitchen to avoid her breaking any cup or spoilt the soup.
Li Wan was very excited when she got the short bread recipe from her uncle who came back from New Zealand. She bought all the ingredients yesterday and asked me to bake the short bread together with her.
There was training session after church service today, when I reached home it was already 3.00 pm. Usually, I will take a nap on Sunday afternoon. To me, it is most wonderful and enjoyable to have a nap on Sunday after lunch.
Today, I could not have my nap. Li Wan, who has never done any baking before, would not be able to do it all by herself if I did not help her. We finished our last round of baking at 6.00 pm, which was after my nap time. 6.00 pm is the usual the time for me to wash my car before I take my bath and go out for dinner together with my family members.
I sacrificed my nap time to fulfilled Li Wan's anxiety of her lst baking lesson. However, the short bread turned out to be very yummy, yummy and tasted just like those that sell in the supermarkets. That was what everyone who tasted it said.
