Yummy! Yummy! Short Bread

1 July 2007 - 1st Week of July 2007
Li Wan's 1st baking lesson

During the two and a half months holidays for local universities, my niece Li Wan always wanted to cook or tried out new recipes. She did not like all these things before she went university. She has butter fingers, we seldom asked her to help in the kitchen to avoid her breaking any cup or spoilt the soup.

Li Wan was very excited when she got the short bread recipe from her uncle who came back from New Zealand. She bought all the ingredients yesterday and asked me to bake the short bread together with her.

There was training session after church service today, when I reached home it was already 3.00 pm. Usually, I will take a nap on Sunday afternoon. To me, it is most wonderful and enjoyable to have a nap on Sunday after lunch.

Today, I could not have my nap. Li Wan, who has never done any baking before, would not be able to do it all by herself if I did not help her. We finished our last round of baking at 6.00 pm, which was after my nap time. 6.00 pm is the usual the time for me to wash my car before I take my bath and go out for dinner together with my family members.

I sacrificed my nap time to fulfilled Li Wan's anxiety of her lst baking lesson. However, the short bread turned out to be very yummy, yummy and tasted just like those that sell in the supermarkets. That was what everyone who tasted it said.
Thank you for all the praises.
